I heard news about coal mine in China. It said there is an accident inside the coal mine. It exploded while many workers were working. Therefore, they were stuck at the underground. Volunteers could help estimate 100 people, but they found 6 dead workers. The rest, who are inside, were about 10 people. The survivors said that they eat coals and little dry plants for life.I think the worker is a very dangerous job. They must work at underground, where are much gas. It is easy to detonate. A high reward is the main reason, why someone approaches to danger as same as an idiom “high risk high return".
You're right ... "no pain, no gain", "high risk, high return". That's how life is, isn't it! However, I do feel sorry for the Chinese workers. They get paid almost no money and have to work like slaves for greedy people who don't care about their safety. This is exactly the same situation in Australia and the US.
